Joe Hill is a composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist based in South Florida. His compositional style can be described as dream-like, dark, theatrical, and whimsical.

Joe’s expansive and varied musical career has taken him from the orchestra pits of Broadway, European concert halls, to even the Van’s Warped Tour. He has written for orchestras, chamber groups, to rock/pop artists. While he draws from many musical genres, the main source of his inspiration is the human experience. In fact, to better understand the human psyche, Joe Hill earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology where he concentrated in experimental psychology and was published in The American Journal of Psychology. His research involved the study of anti-social behavior using the FBI serial killer database. With this, he has been able to peer into the abyss and that has influenced his music incredibly. Currently, Joe has been studying mathematics and astronomy and is very excited to see how this knowledge influences his work.

2020 proved to be a major turning point in his career. With tours canceled and events postponed, Joe found himself reinvigorating his compositional career with an explosion in creative output. Shortly after, he was commissioned to write Cold Jade Winter for a professional awards ceremony. He has been composing non-stop since and has been amassing an extensive catalogue of new music.

Currently, Joe Hill has finished a piece for orchestra chronicling the historical period of March, 2020 to the violent insurrection of the US Capitol on January 6th, 2021. He is also hired to score a horror film currently in production along with creating music for the Food Network. Lastly, he is beginning a production music label with fellow composers.
